Our Year 4 trip to RAF Shawbury was an unforgettable experience! We spent the day learning about the important work carried out at the base, including how surveillance helps to keep people safe and the vital role of air traffic controllers in guiding aircraft safely through the skies. We were fascinated to discover how much teamwork, communication and technology are involved in every flight. The highlight of the day was getting up close to a real helicopter—we even had the chance to sit inside! It was an amazing opportunity to experience
something completely new and learn about the exciting careers available in the Royal Air Force. We all had a fantastic day and came away with lots of new knowledge and memories to treasure.
