This week, Year 5 have been learning about the importance of democracy by taking part in our school council elections. Children had the opportunity to put themselves forward as candidates and then cast their own vote for the person they felt would best represent their class.
The children took the process very seriously and showed a great understanding of the importance of having their voices heard. It was fantastic to see them putting the British Value of Democracy into practice and taking an active role in our school community.
