On Wednesday 26th March, the year 5s had such a special trip which included a tour around the Houses of Parliament, followed by a journey on the London Eye. Leading up to the trip, the Year 5s had been reading the story ‘The London Eye Mystery’ by Siobhan Dowd as their whole class text – this added to the excitement to the trip being able to picture scenes from the story!
It was such a special and valuable experience for the children and the staff. The children’s behaviour was top marks, showing caution whilst walking around the streets of London, as well as respect for the local community. We are sure that they will look back on this experience as a real highlight, when reflecting on their time atMereside.
