We started this unit of work by diving deep into the 20th Century and identifying the key events that happened between 1900-1999.
For WWII we have been learning about why World War was declared (and who by) as well as how this impacted on Britain. Our second lesson was about The Blitz – reflecting on the impact this had on residents in the big cities. Our most recent lesson was learning about why the process of evacuation was needed to protect children of the war – including air raids, shelters and gas masks.
