Arthog 2026

Arthog 2026

Our Year 6s had an amazing time during their residential at Arthog, Wales.

They showed skills such as courage, determination and trust as well as our school values of love, hope and community. They had great fun and created many memories along the way.

Year 6 SATs

Our Year 6s have been enjoying the opportunity of coming into school for some breakfast each morning throughout SATs week.

They have worked tremendously hard and put in 100% into each paper. They should be proud of their efforts – we certainly are!!

Thank you to Excell supply agency who kindly donated ice creams to all year 6s as a ‘Well Done’ for SATs.

Year 6 OAA

Year 6s have been enjoying their OAA (Outdoor Adventurous Activities) PE lessons. They have been working well in teams, matching pictures and map symbols as well as taking part in obstacle courses!

Year 6 World Book Day

Year 6s enjoyed being able to come into school in their PJs/Cosy clothes for the day! We spent the day reading and listening to a variety of different texts and produced some artwork to go with the story ‘The Day the Crayons Quit’ by Drew Daywalt. Playing a game of ‘Find the Golden Ticket’ was also a highlight!

Year 6 Careers Week

Below are some pictures from our Careers Week, where the children had visitors from Shrewsbury Town Football Club, Julia Buckley and The Mayor of Shrewsbury. Children also had an opportunity to come up with and ask questions about a variety of careers in the ‘Careers Workshop’, as well as taking part in a Dance workshop.

Sparrowhawks Gymnastics Lesson

Photos from our gymnastics lesson this week! Applying shapes, balances and jumps with the apparatus and having lots of fun too!

U10 Girls Football

On Monday 12th January, our U10 Girls took part in the Shrewsbury County Cup at the Sports Village.

They showed great resilience and spirit throughout, reaching the semi-finals! Great job girls!!
