School Council Bake Sale! 🎂

A huge thank you to everyone who brought in cakes and spent their money supporting School Council!

All of the cakes and bakes looked delicious and everything was sold! 🍰🧁

Our next job is to count up the money during our next meeting which will be after the Easter Holidays.

Arthog 2025

Last week, Year 6 went on their annual trip to Arthog. Despite the gorgeous weather, everyone got wet as they took part in gorge walking, canoeing, raft building and games on the beach. Everyone even braved the rock climbing on Barmouth slabs where the wind nearly blew us off the edge!

Mr Jones, Mr Giles, Miss Moffat, Mrs Ackers, Mrs Emden, Mrs Hopley and Miss Scoltock were so proud of the children as embraced the challenges that the new experiences brought. There was lots of laughter and smiles throughout the week and the children will take away memories that will last a lifetime!

Photographs of the trip will be uploaded once we’ve sorted through them.

School Council Bake Sake

During our latest school council meeting, we discussed improvements to the playground to make break times more enjoyable for everyone. It was raised that there many places to sit, have a chat, read a book or play some board games but there is plenty of room to run around and be active.

To help raise money for more seating, school council have organised a whole school Bake Sale that will be held in the school hall at the end of the day on the 8th April.

We are encouraging everyone to join in and bring in tasty treats that you have baked at home or bought from a shop from the 7th April, this is the ensure they are fresh! However, due to allergies in school, we can’t have baked goods that contain nuts and anything gluten free needs to be labelled.

  • 8th April – End of the day.
  • School hall
  • Donated baked goods to be brought in on the 7th.
  • 50p a cake!

Careers Week

This week we’ve welcomed in lots of people from different jobs to come in and chat to Year 6. We had a great time listening and learning about different jobs and roles that inspired us to think about our futures! Thank you to everyone who took the time to come and speak to us!

3 of our Podcasting Red Kites were invited to BBC Shropshire for a tour of the studio. We met with Paul Shuttleworth, who presents the Sunday Breakfast Show, and he gave us an in-depth tour of the offices, studios and tea and coffee cupboard!

Abe, Olivia and Jake were even interviewed for the radio which will air this coming Monday (17th) between 7am and 9am!
